Located in London’s trendy hub — Soho, “The Shimmering House” is a 56-square-meter villa designed by acclaimed designer Christian Cowan. Infused with his signature vibrant and flamboyant style, the entire villa is adorned with bright pink hues and various glittering, colorful elements, incorporating as much as 100 kilograms of reusable glitter decorations.
The building’s exterior is embellished with 36,000 gold sequins, while the entrance hall features a checkerboard pattern created with black-and-white glitter. The stairwell is accentuated with a radiant rainbow color scheme, immediately immersing guests in its dazzling brilliance and specially crafted festive atmosphere. The master bedroom takes the glamor up a notch with 2 kilometers of metallic ribbon adorning the walls, complemented by a disco ball made of 52,000 small facets that illuminate the entire room, exuding a vibrant party vibe.
Christian Cowan, renowned for designing outfits for celebrities such as Beyoncé, Cardi B, and Lady Gaga, shared that the inspiration for “The Shimmering House” came from his recent fashion collections, which emphasize bold, flashy, and shimmering elements. This cross-industry collaboration marks the first time he’s had the opportunity to bring his favorite visual designs into a physical space, making accommodations just as dazzling.
Open for bookings starting November 22, “The Shimmering House” will be available in three sessions, with two lucky guests per session able to stay in this glittering world. Whether unwinding in the bubblegum-pink living room or taking a bath in the bathroom featuring fluffy blue clouds and oversized silver raindrop installations.
