A well-known travel reservation service website has specially selected Japan’s top five must-visit fireworks festivals along with viewing tips, allowing those planning to travel to Japan to experience the unique romantic atmosphere of the northern winter !

Tokyo “Odaiba Rainbow Fireworks””
The “Odaiba Rainbow Fireworks” are the best representation of the winter fireworks season. This December, around 1,800 vivid consecutive fireworks will be launched every Saturday night. Against the backdrop of the fireworks and Christmas lights, you can also enjoy the romantic illuminated views of the Rainbow Bridge and Tokyo Tower nearby, making it a popular dating spot for many couples.

Hokkaido’s “Chitose Shikotsu Lake Ice Festival”
Every year, the Shikotsu Lake Hot Springs in Hokkaido holds the winter festival “Chitose Shikotsu Lake Ice Festival,” famous for its ice sculptures made from the extremely clear waters of Shikotsu Lake. When the lights are turned on at night, various colorful lights shine brightly. Additionally, during the event period, fireworks will be launched on weekends and national holidays, beautifully complementing the stunning ice sculptures.

Yamanashi Prefecture’s “Kawaguchi Lake Winter Fireworks”
The Kawaguchi Lake Winter Fireworks Festival in Yamanashi Prefecture will also launch about 1,800 fireworks during its scheduled performance times. The vividly bursting fireworks in the sky will reflect dazzlingly on the lake surface, showcasing the unique brilliant glow at the foot of Mount Fuji. There are three fireworks launch sites in total, with “Oike Park” being the closest spot to enjoy the spectacular display. Additionally, during the event period, winter-exclusive events such as the Saiko Tree Ice Festival will also be held.
