Sandymont Strand Beach is located on the southeastern coast of Dublin, the capital of Ireland, and is part of the Dublin Bay Biosphere Reserve.

Between the 1920s and 1930s, there was a proposal to build an international airport for Dublin along this coastline. Thankfully, the plan was never finalized—otherwise, we would have lost such a beautiful seaside destination.

In the 19th century, a swimming bathhouse was built along the shore, and later a pier was added, featuring a performance stage in the middle that hosted regular concerts in the summer.
