Direct from Tsukiji

You can enjoy fresh Japanese sashimi in Bangkok too! Yuutaro (ゆう), located in Central Embassy, is helmed by Thai chef Uthit Jittrong, who has over 30 years of culinary experience. Both the cooking methods and the restaurant’s layout strictly follow the original Japanese style. Moreover, to ensure the freshness of ingredients, the restaurant imports goods from Tsukiji Market in Japan five times a week — no wonder it attracts many Japanese food lovers.

To pursue authentic flavors, Yuutaro’s ingredients are directly delivered from Tsukiji Market, and prepared by experienced chefs trained in Japan, making it irresistible.
Advance reservation required

Green Tea Lava Cake (THB200, approx. HKD44); a must-try signature dessert at Yuutaro. The molten filling and ice cream are both made from matcha powder imported from Uji. With a slight bitterness and fragrant taste, it’s truly unforgettable.

Enjoy juicy Rayong mantis shrimp

Rayong in Thailand is a seafood paradise, famous for its sweet, springy mantis shrimp. However, Rayong is nearly 200 kilometers away from Bangkok, requiring a 4–5 hour drive each time you want to indulge — quite an inconvenience. Therefore, Ban Phe Noodle & Seafood Cafe, a renowned mantis shrimp spot in Rayong, recently opened a branch in central Bangkok, allowing “shrimp enthusiasts” to satisfy their cravings without a long journey. The signature dishes of Ban Phe include mantis shrimp sashimi, curry fish cakes with mantis shrimp, and red or black seafood noodle soup. Even food connoisseur Mr. Woody Hu, well-known as a “Thailand expert,” can’t stop praising them!

During the interview, we happened to meet Mr. Woody Hu, who ordered a table full of delicacies, ready to dig in.

Mantis shrimp sashimi has a firmer texture than regular raw shrimp, offering a good bite. Unfortunately, you’ll have to remove the shell yourself before eating, which is a bit of a hassle. (THB165, approx. HKD36)

Red and Black Seafood Noodle Soup refers to mixed seafood noodle soup, differing only in the broth — either tom yum or clear soup. Every spoonful is full of seafood and bursting with sweetness. (Red: THB175, approx. HKD39; Black: THB135, approx. HKD30)
