The best viewing period starts from 11 PM on December 13 through the early hours of December 14. As long as you are in an open area with minimal light pollution, you can witness this magnificent meteor shower with the naked eye.

According to predictions by the International Meteor Organization (IMO), the Geminids meteor shower is the last of the three major meteor showers in 2018, making it the grand finale. Its activity period spans from December 4 to December 17, with the peak occurring around 8:30 PM Beijing Time on December 14.
In addition, Comet 46P/Wirtanen will also make its closest approach to Earth on December 16, with an estimated brightness of magnitude 4. The Taipei Astronomical Museum will open its observation room on the evening of December 15 for astronomy enthusiasts to explore further. For those wishing to view the Geminids meteor shower, consider heading to high-altitude, open, and low-light-pollution locations such as Yangmingshan, Kenting, and the Northeast Coast.
