As the romantic and heartwarming Christmas season approaches once again, major department stores across Taiwan have unveiled eye-catching holiday decorations, with their festive centrepieces—Christmas trees—starting to light up one by one. Recently, Taichung’s department store plaza has also been adorned with a series of adorable Christmas decorations, getting ready for fans of Chibi Maruko-chan and Hello Kitty to come pay homage.

Major department stores in Taichung are brimming with Christmas cheer, and eagle-eyed netizens have noticed that the area near Shin Kong Mitsukoshi has quietly donned a new pink outfit. Pink coffee cups and a Ferris wheel create the feel of a mini amusement park, where fans can find both Chibi Maruko-chan and Kitty. This sweet and pastel-coloured Christmas setup lets enthusiasts snap photos to their heart's content—for free.
