What if you see descriptions like “Zero-Dead-Angle Scenic Suite,” “Thousand-TN Garden,” or “Endless Mountain View”? Wouldn’t you be tempted, even if you think it would cost a fortune to stay there?
In fact, this Null Stern Hotel, located near the Swiss Alps at an altitude of nearly 2,000 meters, markets itself as a zero-star experience. The concept is to use the sky as your blanket — would you dare to stay here? This suite not only has no TV or wardrobe, but also no walls.
The suite includes two single beds, two lamps, two small tables, and a butler. But when you need to use the bathroom, don’t just relieve yourself anywhere like fertilizing the ground — you’ll have to walk ten minutes to get there. Guests can immerse themselves in nature through the design, and at night, you can look up to see a starry sky unpolluted by light. Maybe you’re already tempted to book a stay, but with no walls or ceiling, you’ll have to play by the weather’s rules.
It is open only during three seasons — spring, summer, and autumn — and reservations are required. Even with a reservation, it can be canceled at any time due to weather, so remember to check the weather forecast before booking. A one-night stay costs 250 Swiss francs.
