At the end of March, I traveled to Nagoya in central Japan. During this short five-day trip, Shirakawa-go still had snow, but when I returned to Nagoya, the cherry blossoms were already blooming. In Tsunami Park, they were even in full bloom. It was really lucky to experience both falling snow and blooming flowers during a five-day journey. Tsunami Park is one of the top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots. As soon as you exit the subway station, you can already see the park filled with cherry blossoms in full bloom and bustling with visitors.
Many locals have picnics under the cherry blossom trees, enjoying the blossoms — it feels just like watching a Japanese cartoon.Thatkind of atmosphere is really lively.

Tsunami Park has many cherry blossom trees, densely packed, all in full bloom, truly beautiful. The cherry blossoms here are planted on flat ground, and the park has no small rivers or lakes, so the scenery consists of a more concentrated and dense array of cherry blossom trees, without the riverbank blossom views.
It’s not too crowded here, so you can slowly enjoy the blossoms and take photos.
A telephoto lens is a great tool for photographing cherry blossoms. Choose blossoms set against a less cluttered background, complemented by the blue sky. The sunlight makes the blossoms look shinier. Using a large aperture and long focal length creates a shallow depth of field effect, keeping the blossoms clear while blurring the background.

With the cherry blossoms in full bloom and a lively atmosphere, Tsunami Park also has many food stalls, like a carnival.
