In addition to popular IG photo spots, you can also enjoy the most beautiful seasonal natural scenery. Below is a richly planned one-day itinerary, with driving times between each attraction ranging from 50 to 30 minutes. Be sure to consider your timing before you go!
First Stop: Plum Blossom Viewing in Xinyi Township, Nantou

From late December to early February is the plum blossom season in Xinyi Township, Nantou. As a famous destination for plum blossom appreciation, the area has many tourist plum gardens that feature walking paths and cafes, allowing visitors to leisurely and comfortably enjoy the snow-white, enchanting blossoms.
Second Stop: Xiangshan Visitor Center

Located at Sun Moon Lake, the Xiangshan Visitor Center—with its fair-faced concrete architecture, pristine lake water, and the beautiful natural landscape formed by the seasonal metasequoias—has become a popular IG photo spot.
Third Stop: Chiang Kai-shek Pier

Next, head to Chiang Kai-shek Pier in front of the Lalu Resort at Sun Moon Lake. The scenery, nestled between mountain and lake, is truly captivating. The pier offers different beautiful views during the day and at night. Its fairy-tale-like atmosphere makes it a favorite among young people and photography enthusiasts.
