Where do you go skiing and playing in the snow when visiting Hokkaido in winter? Now we’re telling you about a place where you can avoid the crowds and still enjoy the stunning snowy landscapes of Hokkaido — it’s Bibai City, located in the Tokachi region of central Hokkaido.
The long-running ‘Bibai SNOWLAND’ has grandly reopened this year at the GOLF5 Country Bibai Course Up！In summer, the venue serves as a golf course, but this winter marks its first use for snow activities featuring snow boats and snowmobiles, as well as snow golf and snow soccer. Just come empty-handed, and rent warm clothing on-site. All visitors to Bibai City can fully experience the charm of Hokkaido’s snowy season on this vast snowy field. There are especially many activities designed for kids, making it perfect for family outings.
Indoors, you can enjoy one of Japan’s important winter traditions — mochi pounding — and sample Hokkaido’s famous Ishikari Nabe hot pot to warm up your body and soul.
January 19th is the opening day of the Bibai SNOWLAND Snow Festival, featuring a special opportunity for the first 50 guests to try a snow hot air balloon ride, offering a breathtaking view of Hokkaido’s snowy landscape, plus a free fireworks show. ‘Bibai SNOWLAND’ will remain open until March 10th — come and enjoy the snow in Bibai City！
