Amidst the interplay of scenery, pause for a moment to admire the uniquely autumnal and winter colors. With the gentle cool breeze, it’s refreshing and invigorating. Zhicheng Park’s bald cypresses are currently in their color-changing period. Find a nice day to enjoy this seasonal spectacle.

Zhicheng Park is located in the Shilin District’s Dai? Park, adjacent to Waishuangxi, and leads westward to Yangmingshan. The park sits? between Ma?? roads and is home to many towering bald cypress trees, making it a lesser-known bald cypress paradise.

As the bald cypresses enter their color transition period, the vibrant and colorful? avenues often make it hard to tear your eyes away. Whenever it’s the season for the bald cypresses to turn red, the beautiful clusters of trees, with the cool breeze gently brushing your face, invite you to stroll and admire the towering cypresses lining the path. Their layered and interwoven leaves create a soothing experience for both body and mind.

Bald cypress crowns are tall and upright, majestic and proud, with delicate, feathery-shaped leaves. Their color changes distinctly with the seasons. After the yellow and crimson hues of autumn, the brown cypress leaves sway and fall with the winter wind. When spring arrives and tender leaves sprout on the branches, it signals the end of the harsh winter. The varying charms of the four seasons are truly captivating.

Besides looking up to admire the beauty of seasonal changes, the breathing roots underfoot are another highlight of the park. Breathing roots are a survival adaptation of plants in swampy and highly humid soils, and they resemble a cute mini Guilin landscape.
