Soaking in a steaming hot spring during the cold winter days is one of life’s great pleasures. This year, Pingtung’s Sichongxi Hot Spring Festival will kick off on November 25. In addition to soaking in the famous "beauty soup" hot springs, the Pingtung County Government has also specially created beautiful light installations near the hot spring park, along with romantic wisteria and cherry blossom light displays, which will officially be illuminated on the evening of the 25th.

Sichongxi is a necessary stop on the way to the Mudan Township. Due to the natural hot springs that emerge from underground along the route, it was historically called "Chu Tang" (Emerging Springs). This hot spring town has been famous since the Japanese colonial era. The spring water is alkaline bicarbonate and is known as "beauty soup." To attract more visitors to soak in the springs during the winter, the authorities have transformed the Sichongxi Hot Spring Park into a romantic nighttime stage.

During the day, the hot spring park exudes an old-fashioned Japanese charm, with beams of wisteria light adding decoration. At night, it transforms into a dazzling stage. Through light and shadow design, dynamic projections of cherry blossom petals slowly drift into the foot-soaking pool—super romantic. Additionally, the observation deck is equipped with interactive sensory lighting, transforming the local specialty onions into rings of onion-light, allowing visitors to dance among the light displays. The park’s stream landscape is also paved with LED lights to form a blue light river, enhancing the romantic ambiance of the night.
