Last updated 2026-11-08 — It’s summer vacation, and many parents plan to take their kids out for fun. But many moms are actually hesitant in the face of reality. Traveling with kids? Sounds easy, but what if the child has an irregular sleep schedule? What if they don’t like the food? What if the adults can’t enjoy themselves and the child gets tired as well?

It’s summer vacation, and many parents plan to take their kids out for fun. But many moms are actually hesitant in the face of reality. Traveling with kids? Sounds easy, but what if the child has an irregular sleep schedule? What if they don’t like the food? What if the adults can’t enjoy themselves and the child gets tired as well?

Nuannuan’s mom once wrote an article that went viral on social media, with over 10 million reads—“Why Should You Take Your Kids on Trips?” (Click the title to read the article). Visiting different places, meeting different people, and adapting to various local customs have profound significance in helping children develop a diverse worldview and value system. Only by experiencing things firsthand and truly understanding them can one realize how big the world really is and how different people can be.

However, to address everyone's concerns, this episode of “Moms’ Academy” is all about offering moms tips on how to create a perfect holiday for their children. The show is divided into three parts, with Nuannuan’s mom featuring mainly after the 27:15 mark. It includes both discussions with program guests and real-life outdoor segments.

As a super parent-travel expert who has taken her 4-year-old daughter Nuannuan on 49 flights and traveled through 10 countries and 16 provinces, Nuannuan’s mom was also invited to share some time-saving and effortless tricks for traveling with kids during the show.

Cater to everyone’s feelings in the group

Some moms think that so-called parent-child travel means adults accompany their kids. How well the adults enjoy themselves doesn’t matter—the child’s feelings are the center, and taking good care of the child is the most important thing. But this mindset not only makes the accompanying adults feel exhausted and gradually develop a fear of parent-child trips, but more importantly, it causes the child to become increasingly self-centered, thinking that everyone’s care is a given, which is not conducive to fostering the child’s confidence, independence, and ability to coordinate.

Don’t obsess over perfection in every single thing

Many moms worry about parent-child trips due to fear of the unknown. What if the child doesn’t eat well? What if they don’t sleep well? What if they get sick? They feel doomed even before departure. For me, traveling is an opportunity to face and solve challenges together with your child. There will definitely be many uncontrollable factors, problems, and even difficulties during the trip. But that’s exactly where the charm of travel lies. If we stay at home all the time, we might never encounter these risks. But going through unfamiliar situations, facing challenges, and solving problems together with your child is true growth on the journey. This kind of growth is a valuable journey for both adults and children. Read books, and also travel. Both the mind and the body should keep moving forward.

Previously, during the trial operation phase, I took Nuannuan to the newly opened Shanghai Disneyland and wrote an article on Shanghai Disneyland travel tips that many moms downloaded and printed—“Exhausted After Visiting Shanghai Disneyland? Nuannuan’s Mom Tested It Personally: Learn How to Save Time and Effort!” This time, on the show, Nuannuan’s mom was also invited by the program team to bring Nuannuan along, showcasing on camera how to enjoy the famously crowded Shanghai Disneyland efficiently within one day.

Disneyland is a great destination for parent-child travel with children over 1.5 years old. Because both kids and adults can find their own inner innocence in this fairy-tale park.

No trouble is beyond the power of a castle and a fairy tale.

Regarding the challenges of crowds and exhaustion that moms dread, Nuannuan’s mom previously shared some time-saving tricks in her articles, such as FastPass tickets and single-rider lines. These methods were proven effective during the live filming on the show.

Each ticket allows you to get a FastPass for a popular ride every 2 hours.

For some popular rides that kids can’t go on, adults can take turns looking after the child while another parent uses the single-rider line to go on directly.

In addition to these, Nuannuan’s mom also recommended many must-have travel gadgets for parent-child trips that she’s been keeping privately to herself in the show. Watch closely—you’ll spot portable strollers, mosquito-repellent wristbands, dining bibs, magnetic map stickers… Nuannuan’s mom’s loyal fans will surely recognize these familiar items—haha!

The show aired last night, and Nuannuan and I sat in front of the TV and watched the whole episode carefully. When Nuannuan saw both her mom and herself on screen, she felt incredibly proud. Today at kindergarten, she told her friends all day long: “I was on TV!”

P.S.: I actually hesitated for a long time about whether to include this, because I always look three times fatter on camera, ugh!Even though I’m only 100 pounds, I felt like I looked at least 130 pounds in the video!!Sigh… I summoned up all my courage to put it up here—you’ll just have to bear with it. Remember!Don’t dislike me because I’m a bit heavier, and don’t unsubscribe!!

Attached is the full video content of the “Moms’ Academy” program broadcasted on Shenzhen TV last night. Nuannuan’s mom’s tips mainly appear after the 27:15 mark. Feel free to leave your comments!
