Tim Ho Wan is set to make its southern Taiwan debut in August, with its first branch located on B1 of Hanshin Dome Shopping Mall, covering an area of 106 ping and offering 114 seats. To celebrate the trial opening of its first Kaohsiung location, the Tim Ho Wan culinary team has specially created two exclusive new dishes for the Hanshin Dome branch: Glutinous Rice Balls with Sweet Toffee Sauce (Tang Bu Shan) and Osmanthus Shrimp Rice Flour Balls (Gui Hua Xia Fu Rong Qiu).

The “Glutinous Rice Balls with Sweet Toffee Sauce” are made from glutinous rice and cooked in a sugar syrup, then drained and plated with toppings such as peanut powder and white sesame seeds, resulting in a soft, smooth, sweet taste. The “Osmanthus Shrimp Rice Flour Balls” feature local Taiwanese seafood fillings with a crispy outer layer. To suit the hot and humid southern weather, this time they have also specially paired Taipei Xinyi branch’s best-selling “White Pepper Pork Tripe Soup” with the Tang Bu Shan and Gui Hua Xia Fu Rong Qiu to form a chef’s recommended set.
