This series of works is titled "Solitude at the Endless Wall," and as can be seen, this ancient defensive structure is shrouded in thick fog in every photo.
Gallardo Albajar was initially dismayed by such harsh weather, but he soon discovered that such conditions offered some advantages—the site could be photographed without the disturbance of crowds.
In fact, the Great Wall is located on mountains and is often affected by seasonal rains and heavy fog, and it can also be shrouded in smog due to air pollution. Nevertheless, even so, it does not diminish visitors' enthusiasm. In the past, the Great Wall would still be crowded even on foggy days, so the absence of any people in photographer Gallardo Albajar’s photos is quite rare.
