Along the County Road 109 heading toward Zhulu in Sanxia District, New Taipei City, after navigating numerous winding roads and uphill climbs, you’ll arrive at an organic tea garden cultivated using natural farming methods.Xiongkong Tea Garden. Here, the tea trees are grown organically without chemical fertilizers or pesticides, preserving the original mountain forest ecology. In addition to the tea garden, the ever-changing seasonal scenery and wildlife are also major draws of Xiongkong.

Covering approximately 8 hectares, the organic tea garden at Xiongkong produces tea varieties such as Jinxuan, Four Seasons Spring, and Qingxin Oolong. Additionally, the garden offers varying scenery across the seasons: in spring, peach blossoms and mountain cherry blossoms bloom vibrantly; in summer, besides lush greenery, you can also spot tree frogs, Formosan macaques, and fireflies at night; autumn brings vibrant red maples; and in winter, you can admire snowscapes when cold fronts hit. Amidst the layered mountains of Xiongkong, the distinct and unique changes of the four seasons are on full display.

In addition to its vast tea fields and century-old tea trees, the garden also grows a variety of trees including cherry blossoms, peach trees, plum trees, Taiwan cypress, laurel bamboo forests, and maple woods. Outside the garden, the cedar water-friendly trail features straight-standing cedar trees paired with the sound of babbling streams. Sit on the provided wooden benches to fully enjoy the soothing experience of a forest bath. Moreover, pets are fully allowed in the garden—just follow the garden rules, and pet owners can enjoy a fun outing with their furry companions.
