On April 8th, at the Ougengnike Organic Farm in Kunshan, the sounds of children’s laughter filled the air. This parent-child organic farm tour, organized by Zhima Travel, allowed kids and their parents to enjoy a healthy and joyful day.
Although the weather had been forecast to rain, it cleared up thanks to the arrival of the children. After receiving sweatshirts and backpacks sponsored by “Mr. Men and Little Miss,” the kids ran and played freely on the large lawn, kicking off an energetic day. The adults, too, were swept up in the cheerful atmosphere and couldn’t help but join in the games.
Led by the farm host “Potato Brother,” both adults and children visited the organic farm, learned about various vegetables, and got up close with many adorable little animals.
More importantly, everyone gained an understanding of what truly constitutes organic vegetables—not just being natural, chemical-free, and pollution-free, but also the organic farming methods that promote a more harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
In addition, Zhima Travel collaborated with Ougengnike Organic Farm to prepare a series of parent-child activities for moms, dads, and kids, including pickling vegetables, DIY organic rice balls, hands-on vegetable planting, and a vegetable scavenger hunt…
Of course, the most exciting parts for the little ones were pulling out radishes and helping Mama Goose find her eggs. The usually delicate little princes and princesses completely forgot about their usual fussiness over cleanliness, joyfully getting up close and personal with the dirt and plants.
Maybe that’s the true meaning of this event—allowing urban-raised children and adults to reconnect with nature and rediscover the kind of happiness that can’t be found on phones or computers.
The activity came to a gentle close amidst the children’s reluctance to leave. With send-offs from the staff, participating families embarked on their journey home, all expressing great anticipation for the next Zhima Travel parent-child tour.
It is reported that to ensure the safety of family outings, Zhima Travel has also provided all participating parents and children with travel insurance sponsored by Ping An Insurance, making every trip safer and more secure.
