According to a report on the 28th, a British elderly couple drove a 55-year-old vintage car around the world without any incidents, but unexpectedly, upon returning to the UK and parking in a shopping mall lot, someone dented the hood.
Harold, now 68, is a retired accountant. Twelve years ago, he purchased this 1956-produced “Bristol 405” convertible, a two-door car. After retiring last year, he drove this vintage vehicle around the world with his wife, a retired lawyer. Many warned them of potential dangers along the way. However, the couple started from the United States, traveled through Central and South America, Australia, Turkey, and various European countries, and eventually returned to the UK, covering a total distance of 33,000 miles (approximately 52,000 kilometers). Aside from changing tires a few times and minor repairs, the car experienced no serious accidents.
But after returning to London, the couple went shopping at a large retail store. While their car was parked in the lot, another driver accidentally hit it, causing a dent in the hood area. The estimated cost to repair the dented section is £200.
