On the first weekend after the launch of Jiangxi Province’s “Tourism Free Admission Month,” the plaza at the Sanqingshan Scenic Area was bustling with activity, crowded with a large number of visitors queuing up to head up the mountain. Compared to the usual off-season at year’s end, this winter in Sanqingshan is less “cold.”
At the scenic area entrance, a group of over 200 hiking enthusiasts from an outdoor sports association were geared up and ready to go, preparing for an upcoming friendly mountain climbing competition. The association organizer told reporters, “Sanqingshan is incredibly beautiful. Most of our members have visited more than once, and this time they’re mainly here for the snow scenery. Coupled with the free admission event, everyone is really happy.”
This year, the Sanqingshan Management Committee has stepped up winter market promotion efforts. On one hand, it has actively promoted the winter features of Sanqingshan in target markets through newspapers, television, and other media to fully showcase the winter snowscapes. On the other hand, it has strengthened collaborations with travel agencies and airlines to enrich winter tour routes in Sanqingshan, while offering discounts on tickets, airfare, and accommodation to reduce product prices and attract more visitors. Especially with the launch of Jiangxi’s “Tourism Free Admission Month” on December 20th, the winter market for Sanqingshan reached new heights.
It is reported that since winter began, Sanqingshan has been receiving an average of 3,000 visitors per day, with growth rates exceeding 100%, presenting a thriving scene of “no off-season slump.”
