Yesterday at noon, a woman fell and lost consciousness while hiking in the Baxiangu Valley on the lower part of Yunding Mountain. The first team of five members from the Polaris Rescue Squad was dispatched to rescue her.
At around 11:50 am, the Polaris Rescue Squad received an emergency call reporting that a woman had fallen and become unconscious while hiking in the Baxiangu Valley at the foot of Yunding Mountain. Upon receiving the news, the Polaris Rescue Squad quickly assembled and set out. By 12:20 pm, the first team of five rescuers, carrying a stretcher and first aid kits, had headed up the mountain to conduct the rescue.
After searching the mountain for one hour and twenty minutes, the Polaris Rescue Squad members finally located the injured woman and her companions near the Baxiangu Valley around 2:00 pm. After administering basic first aid to the injured woman, the rescuers carried her down the mountain on a stretcher and sent her to the hospital for treatment.
Reporters learned that the woman was hiking with a group of online acquaintances who had spontaneously organized the outdoor activity. There were about sixty to seventy young people in total. The hikers walking ahead were unaware that an accident had occurred behind them and continued hiking up the mountain. Only the few hikers who were with the injured woman stayed behind to help her descend.
It is reported that the woman may have stepped on a loose rock, causing her to fall. She landed on her head, hitting her face, the back of her head, and her leg against the rocks, sustaining serious injuries.
