I skied at Genting for two days over the weekend, and overall had a great experience — the lifts were fast and comfortable, the runs were well-designed, and the area was sheltered from the wind.
I used my phone’s GPS to record my skiing track, and later made a comparison map of the ski runs at Wanlong and Genting.
It provides a very intuitive view of the relative locations and layout of the runs at the two resorts.
The white lines represent the runs at Wanlong, the blue lines are the runs at Genting, and the yellow lines are the lifts.
From the map, you can see that Genting is currently slightly smaller in scale than Wanlong, but it hasn’t been fully developed yet. I personally think it will be more competitive than Wanlong in the future.
