The top European outdoor gear company from Norway, Bergans, has set up a fully independent subsidiary—Bergans UAS LLC—to serve the North American market. For the past decade, Bergans' U.S. business was handled by a private distributor headquartered in Seattle.
Bergans USA is based in Longmont, Colorado, and has appointed industry veteran Patry "Pat" Loomis as CEO and Keith Patterson as Vice President of Marketing. Loomis and Patterson previously collaborated to bring Deuter to the U.S. market. In 2012, Bergans USA will relaunch a selection of backpacks, tents, and packable kayaks.
