According to Turkish media reports, 18-year-old Turkish national ski team member Aslı Nemutlu died unexpectedly while training in northeastern Turkey that day.
The report said Nemutlu suffered a neck injury during training at the Konaklı Ski Resort in Erzurum Province. She was treated at the hospital, but her life could not be saved.
The Turkish national alpine ski team was preparing for the Turkish Youth Ski Championships to be held on the 14th and 15th. Nemutlu had an accident when her ski bindings came loose while going downhill, causing her to fall.
