The Rossignol 2011 winter collection introduces a new intelligent ultra-elastic laminated concept—the next-generation invention of “Smart Fabric” technology—which perfectly meets our functional requirements for apparel. 20000 FLEX incorporates aerospace technology into clothing. Composed of “shape-memory polymers,” its microscopic molecular structure delivers astonishing performance.
What is “Intelligence”?
The intelligence of 20000 FLEX mainly lies in its use of the principle of micro-Brownian motion (thermal sensing). Micro-Brownian motion occurs when the temperature reaches the activation point. When the ambient temperature is below the activation point, the molecular structure remains stable, resulting in low fabric permeability—thus retaining body heat. When the external temperature exceeds the activation point, micro-Brownian motion activates the molecules, creating slight spacing that increases fabric permeability, allowing body heat and excess moisture to escape efficiently.
20000 FLEX enables the wearer’s body to continuously adapt to changing temperatures through the garment’s intelligent regulation, ensuring optimal comfort in any environment.
20000 FLEX is truly a “self-regulating” membrane. Additionally, with outstanding waterproofness, breathability, and elasticity, 20000 FLEX offers five key advantages: waterproof, windproof, water-repellent, breathable, and durable.
Advanced surface treatment ensures lasting and repeated waterproofing (initially: 90 or above; after 20 washes: 80 or above). The 20000 FLEX membrane is extremely long-lasting, and because it is not a porous membrane, there’s no need to worry about salt air, sweat, or oil clogging the pores. It is also highly resistant to intense movement and repeated washing, guaranteeing long-term durability.
