Fragrant Chicken City's first day of sales: Limited to 150 chickens, all sold out before opening hours

After a 20-year hiatus, Fragrant Chicken City is finally making a comeback! Trial operations begin on August 6th, and the most nostalgic classic hand-pulled chicken is priced at NT$499, with a special trial price of NT$399. However, although the store was originally scheduled to open at 2:00 PM, many people had already started queuing up by noon. To prevent heatstroke, emergency numbered tickets were issued in advance, and all 150 tickets for the hand-pulled chicken were gone before 1:00 PM.

Although the decision to issue numbered tickets was made considering the hot weather and to prevent heatstroke among those waiting in line (with people starting to queue as early as 10:00 AM), the tickets for the 150 daily limited hand-pulled chickens were all given out right when the store opened. This left many fans who arrived before 2:00 PM but couldn’t get a ticket feeling unfairly treated.In response, the Fragrant Chicken City team posted on Facebook earlier that the time and arrangements for distributing numbered tickets tomorrow (8/7) would be announced on the fan page after today’s team discussion.At around 9:00 PM, the fan page announced that numbered tickets for the [Classic Hand-Pulled Chicken] will be distributed promptly at 12:00 PM tomorrow (8/7), with 150 limited tickets available until they run out.

Additionally, regarding the daily limit of only 150 hand-pulled chickens, some fans questioned whether it was a form of hunger marketing. The Fragrant Chicken City team stated that the team is continuously working hard and training on operational details, aiming to provide the best quality and service — this is absolutely not hunger marketing.
