“Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf – A Dazzling Qixi NightThe riverside fireworks show made a vibrant debut on the 7th at the Tamsui Fisherman’s Stage. This is the first time fireworks have been set off at Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf, and the event also included love ballad performances and other related activities.The main attraction was a dazzling 520-second fireworks show.Allowing couples to take their time sharing sweet words with each other and enjoy a romantic weekend night together.

On Qixi Valentine’s Day, non-stop live music played at the Tamsui Fisherman’s Stage. On August 6th, the popular bands “Nora Says” and “Wang Fu,” winners of the 2016 New Taipei City Gongliao International Marine Music Festival’s Popular Band Award, rocked the stage with romantic vibes. Then on August 7th, during the “Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf – A Dazzling Qixi Night” event, the artist-in-residence from the New Taipei City International Art Village—Twisted Roll Studio—performed in a duet style to celebrate the romantic occasion.A 520-second fireworks show will also light up the Tamsui night sky, allowing the public to enjoy this magical moment.

Director of Agriculture Li Wen noted that Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf is not only home to the famous Lover’s Bridge, but the view of the “Tamsui Sunset” is equally captivating. The illuminated Lover’s Bridge at night is especially romantic, and couples walking hand-in-hand across its charming bridge piers while enjoying the beautiful night scenery creates a uniquely delightful experience.

In addition to driving to Fisherman’s Wharf, visitors are encouraged to use public transport. Take the Red 26 bus from Tamsui MRT Station or hop on the Blue Highway ferry from Tamsui Old Street to reach the wharf—transportation is very convenient. At the end of the evening event, extra bus services will be added to help disperse the crowd and make it easy for everyone to return home safely.
