“2012 is really here!” With the countdown to New Year’s Day and the chimes of Chinese New Year, 2012 has truly arrived. For Pinewood, the renowned Swedish outdoor brand, this marks the start of the new year with a powerful shot of “adrenaline.”
While many brands are busy with New Year promotions, the renowned Swedish outdoor brand Pinewood is diligently achieving yet another industry milestone. On January 20, Pinewood collaborated closely with Nanjing Yongda High-Speed Rail Outdoor Media, leveraging the peak travel season of Chunyun (Spring Festival travel rush), to launch a one-month video advertising campaign on the LED screens exclusively operated by Yongda Media at seven high-speed rail stations under the Beijing Railway Bureau. These stations include Beijing South Station, Tianjin Station, Tianjin West Station, Tianjin South Station, Cangzhou Station, Langfang Station, and Dezhou Station. A total of 34 large LED information screens were used, covering an area of 890.8 square meters, with ads rolling 120 times per day.
The focus of Pinewood’s campaign is Beijing South Station, known as Asia’s No. 1 station. It is a large-scale integrated transportation hub combining high-speed rail, conventional rail, urban transit, taxis, and buses. As China’s first high-standard, modernized passenger-dedicated line terminal, it mainly serves mid- to high-end business and political travelers traveling between Beijing and other major cities across the country. During Chunyun, Beijing South Station handles 260 train arrivals and departures daily, transporting nearly 350,000 passengers. For its campaign at South Station, Pinewood utilized all 15 LED information screens, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all passengers throughout the travel rush, thereby establishing a broad base of potential customers.
