TransAsia Airways, the parent company of V Air, announced today (August 9) that it will merge with V Air. V Air will cease all operations starting October 1 and has immediately stopped selling tickets for all flights after October 1. Flights not subject to changes announced before September 30 will operate as usual and remain unaffected. V Air stated that for passengers who have already booked flights after October 1 and are affected, the following follow-up ticket handling options are available:

1. V Air will prioritize assisting passengers on the Osaka and Okinawa routes to transfer their bookings to designated TransAsia Airways flights on the originally scheduled date (with arrangements made based on the same-day flight or the nearest available flight). The rebooking will be completed within seven days from tomorrow and passengers will be notified; passengers who have already been rebooked may also choose a full refund. From now until August 31, refund requests can be submitted via the online form.

2. The Chiang Mai and Fukuoka routes will be taken over by TransAsia Airways. It is expected that by the end of August, after TransAsia Airways completes the route applications, passengers' bookings will be transferred to designated TransAsia Airways flights on the originally scheduled date (with arrangements made based on the same-day flight or the nearest available flight) and passengers will be notified; passengers may also choose a full refund. From now until September 15, refund requests can be submitted via the online form.

3. Full unconditional refunds (including airfare, additional service fees, airport taxes, and handling fees, etc.) will be provided for the Bangkok, Busan, and Nagoya routes. Passengers do not need to fill out any forms.

Only one change is allowed per booking, and only one of the above options can be selected. Individual change requests for different passengers on the same booking are not accepted. For any promotional fares (such as round-trip promotions), both outbound and return flights must be processed together. Any valid unbooked tickets within six months due to previous route changes will be refunded in full.

All complimentary flight sponsorship letters issued by V Air will remain fully valid during their validity period and will be fully taken over by TransAsia Airways without any impact. Booking procedures and how route changes are handled will be separately announced by TransAsia Airways. Other ticket-related issues will still be handled in accordance with the Conditions of Carriage (COC) agreed upon between V Air and passengers.
