As a professional trade platform for sporting goods, ISPO BEIJING attracts new international brands every year. To help more overseas brands that have not yet entered the Chinese market understand the local industry, find trade partners, and discover business opportunities, ISPO BEIJING has since 2009 set up a dedicated “Overseas Brands Agent Negotiation Zone” to match international brands with domestic agents—successfully introducing brands such as SALEWA (Salewa) and Hagl

In addition to focusing on China’s outdoor sports and winter sports industries, ISPO BEIJING in 2012 expanded its perspective to emerging extreme sports and street culture trends. Extreme sports offer the thrill, freedom, and challenge not found in traditional sports, and as a result have rapidly taken root in China, demonstrating great potential. At the 2012 exhibition, ISPO BEIJING set up a dedicated extreme sports zone to support and promote smaller extreme sports brands and showcase extreme sports culture. A half-pipe indoor skateboarding venue, designed by European experts, also made its debut at the show. Skateboarding enthusiasts were able to try out their skills on this professional course and enjoy spectacular performances by American professional skateboarders.

In recent years, ISPO BEIJING has emphasized the combination of athletic functionality and fashionable trends in outdoor apparel, introducing more and more sportswear fashion brands and establishing a dedicated sport fashion zone. BOGNER, a German high-end sportswear brand known as the luxury of skiwear, made its first appearance in China at ISPO and announced its official entry into the Chinese market. Meanwhile, during the China Sport Fashion Trend Forum held during the exhibition, ISPO BEIJING, in collaboration with the China Textile Information Center, the China Fashion Color Association, and the China Fashion Alliance, released the “2013 China Sport Fashion Trend Report.” This report provides a forward-looking analysis of the next season’s sport fashion trends through comprehensive research on color coordination, fabric application, and functional design.
As skiing and outdoor sports evolve from niche, specialized activities for specific groups into recreational pastimes for the general public, the outdoor industry has flourished in China. ISPO BEIJING is not just a trade show for brands and distributors, but also a diverse platform that touches on sports, fashion, and culture. It serves as a medium for industry professionals to exchange information, standardize the current state of the industry, and discuss development trends.
