From February 24 to 26, 2012, the “Austrian Charity Ski Event,” hosted by the Commercial Section of the Austrian Embassy in China, was grandly held at Wanlong Ski Resort in Hebei Province. Nearly 300 Chinese and international skiing enthusiasts participated in this event. The Austrian Charity Ski Race took place on February 25, with over 100 participants from 15 countries. The finish area was filled with spectators watching the race, and cheerleaders cheered on the participants. The Austrian Charity Ski Race is the largest international winter sports event in China.
Mr. Chu Guoru, Secretary of the County Party Committee of Chongli County, also attended the banquet and delivered a welcome speech. In his remarks, Secretary Chu emphasized that the growing winter sports industry in China presents excellent opportunities for Austrian businesses, which can offer world-leading, top-tier products, technologies, and services in the field of winter sports.
