Last updated 2026-09-25 — BlackDiamond, a global leading manufacturer of climbing, skiing, and mountaineering equipment, announced that Shenzhen Himalaya Trading Co., Ltd. has been awarded the BD2011 Independent Distributor of the Year title. This is the second consecutive year that Himalaya has received this honor. “...

On the morning of the 7th, a 50-year-old man suddenly collapsed while exercising in Fragrant Hills Park. Emergency responders rushed to the scene and performed nearly an hour of resuscitation efforts, but were unable to save his life.
“It’s truly such a pity,” said Ms. Cui, who witnessed the entire rescue process while exercising nearby. She noted that the man had come to the park alone for his morning workout, and despite the low morning temperatures, he was only wearing a thin sweater. Ms. Cui saw the emergency personnel continuously performing chest compressions and providing artificial respiration, but their efforts were in vain. The responders informed her that the likely cause of death was a heart attack, as the man had already stopped breathing and his electrocardiogram had flatlined by the time they arrived.
Ms. Cui said that if the man had been discovered earlier and had taken emergency medications such as quick-acting heart rescue pills or nitroglycerin, precious time for resuscitation might have been bought. However, the location where he was exercising was quite remote, with no one passing by, making it difficult to notice him immediately. Additionally, sudden exposure to cold may trigger acute myocardial infarction, and the man’s insufficient clothing during his workout may also have been a contributing factor.
Ms. Cui wants to remind everyone that people in poor health should avoid exercising alone in the morning and should not go to overly secluded areas to prevent accidents. Moreover, the incidence of acute myocardial infarction is higher during the cold winter and spring seasons, so precautions against the cold should be taken during exercise—especially for those with coronary heart disease.
“People in their fifties often have significant responsibilities to both their elders and their families, facing considerable pressure from work and family life, and heart issues are often overlooked,” Ms. Cui suggested. She advised that if one frequently experiences pain in the left chest, shoulders, stomach, or gums, they should visit a hospital to check whether these are borderline symptoms of angina.
