The largest outdoor sports expo in the Nordic region kicked off on the 8th at the Stockholm Exhibition and Convention Centre in Sweden. In addition to traditional outdoor gear such as tents and down jackets, exciting items with distinct Nordic features like rubber boats and paragliders also attracted considerable attention.
This exhibition is divided into six major sections: outdoor activities, fishing, diving, kayaking, travel, and lectures. The annual Stockholm Fishing Gear Show has also been incorporated into the outdoor sports expo this year. According to the organizers, last year’s event attracted approximately 50,000 visitors.
This year’s outdoor sports expo is themed “Adventure.” The organizers have set up an “Adventure Camp” at the venue, where visitors can experience the thrill of activities such as rock climbing and even ice climbing.
At the scene, the booths for paragliding and diving equipment became hotspots of the expo. One exhibitor set up a swimming pool on-site, allowing visitors to try out a full set of diving gear. Another exhibitor brought a glider to the venue and invited attendees to sit in the cockpit to simulate the experience of gliding through the air.
In addition to outdoor sports equipment, tourism agencies from other Nordic countries as well as various parts of Sweden also showcased their unique offerings at the expo. Arctic ice-breaking tours, Greenland canoeing, and other distinctive Nordic travel experiences were particularly enticing.
Lena Bergman, the head of the expo, said that this event brings together representative travel products from around the world and from every corner of Sweden, ensuring that everyone can find something that suits them.
The expo runs for four days and is scheduled to conclude on the 11th.
