Catch 40 Pokémon in 30 minutes: The Best Bus Routes for Pokémon GO in Five Major Cities

With the whole nation going crazy over Pokémon GO, how to catch Pokémon efficiently and farm PokéStops has become a hot topic online. Recently, the tech website "YingYaoShiXue" compiled bus routes suggested by netizens in the Taipei-New Taipei area, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung, giving players the chance to catch up to 40 Pokémon in just 30 minutes on a bus ride.

The Taipei-New Taipei area offers both high-supply routes and high-value routes. High-supply routes allow you to pass 20 to over 40 PokéStops within 30 minutes on the bus. Buses 652, 637, Orange 2, 648, and 652 fall under this category, with Orange 2 topping the list as the best route where you can encounter more than 40 Pokémon.

There are 11 high-value bus routes in the Taipei-New Taipei area, divided into those with rides under one hour and those over one hour. Most of these cost less than NT$50 but offer long travel times, making them great value. Among them, bus 307, which heads to Taipei Main Station - Banqiao Global Mall, is the most popular. It comes every 10 minutes or so, passes over 40 PokéStops, and within a 30-minute to 1-hour ride, you can encounter more than 20 Pokémon — offering excellent cost-performance.

In Kaohsiung, there are five popular bus routes. After comprehensive evaluation, Kaohsiung City Bus 214 ranks the best, allowing you to encounter more than 20 Pokémon. Tainan also has five bus routes, all with ride times under 30 minutes. Taichung has 16 bus routes; for rides under one hour, bus 7 offers the best cost-performance, with over 40 PokéStops and Pokémon. For rides under 30 minutes, bus 100 is the optimal route, where you can encounter over 40 Pokémon.
