The 2nd PSAChina International Photography Competition (2nd PSAChina International Exhibition of Photography) has officially commenced (registration website: http://salon.psachina.org). In addition to its continuous certification by the Photographic Society of America (PSA), this year it has also earned accreditation from the International Union of Photographers (UPI), making it the first large-scale international photography competition with dual certification organized by the Photographic Society of America (China) (PSA China).
The 2nd PSAChina International Photography Competition (2nd PSAChina International Exhibition of Photography) is hosted by the Photographic Society of America (China) (PSA China) and organized by Beijing Lianban Training Co., Ltd. It is one of the most influential international photography competitions in China in 2012. The organizers will continue to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and uphold the society’s principles of humanity, sharing, and learning.
This edition of the competition has invited nine top international photography masters to serve as judges, with nearly 200 awards on offer, including 36 PSA China awards. The competition features four categories: Color Pictorial (CPID), Digital (EID) (Monochrome), Nature (ND), and Photo Travel (PTD). Results will be counted toward the Photographic Society of America (PSA) Star Rating System. The competition is open to professional photographers and photography enthusiasts from all countries and regions around the world, with a global synchronized submission deadline of 24:00 (Beijing Time) on June 16, 2012.
Looking back at the 2011 PSAChina International Photography Competition (2011 PSAChina International Exhibition of Photography), it was judged by a panel led by Jone Davis, President of the Photographic Society of America (PSA), Henry C.Ng, Vice President of PSA, and Deng Daduan, Chief International Representative of PSA and Chairman of PSA China, along with nine other renowned photographers from China and abroad. The competition received a total of 7,415 entries from 45 countries and regions worldwide, as well as 25 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in China. The entries were characterized by high quality, diverse origins, and a wide range of themes. A total of 95 participants from 21 different countries and regions shared 144 major awards across five categories, including PSA Awards, PSA China Awards, Visual Awards, Full Vision Awards, and Judges’ Recommendation Awards, with 2,692 works receiving honorable mentions.
