This competition will feature 21 professional outdoor sports teams from across the country competing over three days at multiple scenic spots in Wenzhou City, including the Wenrui River, Sanyang Wetland, Daluo Mountain, and Zeya — covering 10 events: cross-country running, mountain biking/running relay, kayaking, mountain biking, mountaineering, waterfall rappelling, zip-lining, outdoor skills, rafting, and stream tracing.
The main venue, the Daluo Mountain National Hiking Trail in Wenzhou, has a total length of 120 kilometers, with the first phase spanning 45 kilometers. It was completed at the end of November 2011 with an investment of 4.61 million yuan, funded by the municipal sports lottery public welfare fund.
This championship is jointly organized by the Mountaineering Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau, and the Wenzhou Municipal People's Government, and hosted by the Publicity Department of the Wenzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC, the Wenzhou Municipal Sports Bureau, and other organizations.
