The First Pokémon Go Catching Tournament in Nantou – Come Catch Rare Pokémon!

Since Pokémon Go was launched for download in Taiwan on August 6, it has become an instant hit across the island. Many shops, scenic spots, and other venues have seized the business opportunity by setting up numerous PokéStops to attract visitors. The Liyutan Scenic Area in Puli Township, Nantou, boasts a vast lake area, mostly designated for walking, with over 20 PokéStops along its lakeside trails. It is also home to rare Pokémon such as Snorlax and Magcargo. Therefore, the Liyutan Scenic Area will host the first “Pokémon Tournament” in Nantou on the 14th, inviting players to come and catch Pokémon.

The “Pokémon Tournament” at Liyutan Scenic Area will be won by the player who catches the most Pokémon. In case of a tie in numbers, the average CP (Combat Power) will determine the ranking. A total of 32 winners will be selected, and prize recipients can receive benefits provided by the Puli Township Farmers' Association, Tianshui Lotus Hotel, and Hua[obscured] Restaurant. The event has 100 registration slots. Although the registration period has ended, players can still visit the Liyutan Scenic Area to catch rare Pokémon, relax, and enjoy the greenery and scenic beauty along the safe and well-maintained trails.
