Reporters at the Dazhu Mountain Scenic Area observed that as they walked on foot from the base of the mountain to Xiugu Valley, the number of blooming azaleas gradually increased. The red azaleas stretched all the way from the valley bottom up to the mountaintop, and even the cliffs and steep rock faces were covered with lush flower clusters. Walking along the stone steps in the mountains was like strolling through an ocean of flowers.
Recently, the azaleas on Dazhu Mountain in Jiaonan City have entered their peak blooming period, attracting large numbers of tourists to hike and enjoy the scenery.
It is understood that the azaleas on Dazhu Mountain mainly include Rhododendron mucronulatum, Rhododendron simsii, and Rhododendron longipes. The peak blooming period will continue until around May Day.
