The sixth edition in 2012, like previous years, is collecting outstanding travel plans online. The submission period has entered its final month. By the end of March, 3,321 plans had been received, with the number still growing rapidly, showing a sea of “red flags” across China.

In the “Crossing? Crossing indeed!! Returning to an ancient land by trekking the Wusun Ancient Trail” plan submitted by Yuantuo Outdoor Subsite, the Wusun Ancient Trail refers to the ancient paths that connected the Wusun Kingdom and the Kucha Kingdom across the Tianshan Mountains. There were many such trails. Today’s National Highway 217 follows one of the most heavily trafficked ancient routes. The trekking path is rugged and treacherous, especially the rope-crossing over the Kekus River, which is extremely dangerous. This is a high-risk, high-difficulty hiking trail well worth attention. Compared to the fierce competition at other subsites, competition at the Yuantuo Outdoor Subsite is relatively mild, offering a greater chance to win the monthly championship as well as the annual champion outdoor gear package provided by OZARK GEAR (Osprey) for the trekking category.
