This 152.4-meter-high cliff was free-climbed by Mickey
China News Service, May 3 — According to foreign media reports on the 2nd, recently, 23-year-old British man Mickey "Kermit" free-climbed a 152.4-meter-high vertical cliff in France's Verdon National Park. Photographer Booth captured Mickey's precarious one-handed hang from the cliff, an incredibly dramatic scene.
It is reported that Mickey is a free solo climber and one of the best in the world, with his climbing footprints left on many treacherous peaks. Mickey said that although it may look dangerous, as long as you master the techniques and climb steadily and solidly, the risk factor is greatly reduced.
26-year-old Booth is a professional photographer who specializes in photographing free solo climbers. According to him, generally, these climbers carry a backpack with a parachute inside just in case. “My job is to take photos, but I never interfere with their climbing — I don’t want them to fall off the cliff,” Booth said.
