A Magnificent Qinghai – The Cycling Paradise
Recently, several websites including NetEase China, the travel channel of China.com.cn, Bicycle.com.cn, the travel channel of Beijing Traffic Radio, the travel channel of Phoenix New Media, and the travel channel of Shenzhen News Network published an illustrated online post titled "The Eight Most Beautiful Cycling Paradises in China with the Most Spring Scenery," in which Qinghai Lake was selected as one of China's most beautiful cycling paradises.
In recent years, numerous domestic newspapers, magazines, and online media have awarded Qinghai Lake various prestigious titles through diverse evaluation activities. In October 2005, it was ranked first among "China’s Top Five Most Beautiful Lakes" by China National Geography magazine; in 2006, the Global Travel News, in collaboration with 31 national urban newspapers, selected Qinghai Lake as one of "China’s 50 Most Worthy Places for Foreign Visitors"; in 2011, it appeared on the list of the most popular travel destinations, ranking 12th as the only attraction from Qinghai Province to make the list. In the same year, Qinghai Lake won the title of "Champion" among China’s Top Ten Most Beautiful Lakes with the accolade "A Peerless Sacred Land, a Divine Lake on Earth," and was featured in the book "China’s Most Beautiful Tourist Destinations." It was also listed as one of the 30 most worthwhile places to visit in China in the "2012 Travel Plan." Such titles as "China’s Most Beautiful Lake," "A Paradise for Travelers," and "More Beautiful Than You Could Ever Imagine" have made Qinghai Lake shine brilliantly, continuously attracting visitors from all over. This latest recognition of Qinghai Lake as one of China’s Top Eight Most Beautiful Cycling Paradises further highlights its esteemed status among travelers. This selection was based on comprehensive criteria including cycling difficulty, physical demands, and scenic beauty. Other honorees include Beijing’s Baihe Canyon, Hangzhou’s West Lake, the Huizhou-Hangzhou Ancient Trail, Hainan, Sayram Lake, Kanas, and the Sichuan-Tibet section of National Highway 318.
