On May 12, the 2012 Beijing International Trail Challenge successfully came to a close at the dam base platform of the Ming Tombs Reservoir. The North Face 100 Beijing International Trail Challenge is one of the events in the The North Face 100 Asia-Pacific series. It is the Beijing leg of the The North Face 100 Asia-Pacific series. In 2009, this event was first held in Changping District, Beijing, and was the first 100-kilometer trail running event ever held on the Chinese mainland. The 2012 event will be the fourth edition of The North Face 100 in China.
