Given the success of the 2011 show and widespread industry support, the 2012 (second) edition of the Asia Bike Show plans to utilize two exhibition halls, doubling the display area to 24,000 square meters. Currently, registration for the 2012 Asia Bike Show is booming, with 80% of exhibitors from 2011 confirming their participation again, and most indicating they will expand their booth space. This year also sees the addition of many new brands. The number of participating brands is expected to reach 250.
So far, the vast majority of exhibitors from 2011 have confirmed their registration, including Specialized, LOOK, Shimano, UCC, BMC, Cervelo, Yeti, Focus, Cube, Tyrell, Chiru, Komda, Dt-Swiss, Velo, Wellgo, Sigma, Cratoni, and Jakroo. They continue to strongly support the Asia Bike Show, spoke highly of the 2011 event, and expressed their desire to establish long-term cooperation with the show.
Numerous European and American brands will also make their first appearance at the 2012 Asia Bike Show, hoping to enter the Chinese mainland market through this platform. These include Corratec, KTM, Haibike, La Pierre, Bergamont, Mercedes-Smart, Bianchi, and Orange, among others. The growing attention and emphasis that European and American brands are placing on the Chinese mainland market also reflects the huge potential of the sports bicycle market there.
Meanwhile, Chinese domestic brands are gradually transitioning into the sports and high-end bicycle markets. UCC, Citybug, OYAMA, Missile, Java, and Saiker have all confirmed their participation in the 2012 Asia Bike Show and will showcase their latest mid-to-high-end sports bicycles.
The 2012 Asia Bike Show has stepped up efforts to attract professional visitors and enhance media coverage, with improvements across all supporting services. A variety of on-site events, such as sub-exhibitions, indoor test tracks, industry development forums, fashion shows, and endurance races, will continue. This year’s show will add two new activities: a Tibet cycling salon and a Bike Miss contest. In addition, a new service—business matchmaking—will be introduced on-site to connect international brand exhibitors seeking domestic agents with domestic agents looking to partner with international brands, thereby improving business cooperation efficiency for both sides.
