May 19 was China's second National Tourism Day. The first "Kailas" Cup Rock Climbing Competition in Jincheng City in 2012 kicked off at the Shanliquan Tourist Scenic Area. The competition was jointly organized by the city's Mountaineering and Outdoor Sports Association, the Youth Activity Center’s Outward Bound Training School, and the Shanliquan Tourist Scenic Area. All participants were rock climbing enthusiasts. The event featured men’s and women’s speed climbing categories. Over 150 contestants from Taiyuan, Changzhi, Luoyang, and locally in Jincheng competed, attracting nearly a thousand spectators. After a day of intense competition, two athletes from Luoyang Leyou Outdoors won the first-place awards in the men’s and women’s divisions, while the second-place prizes went to contestants from the city's Secondary Vocational School and the city's mobile company.
