For wilderness camping, a sanitation tent is absolutely essential. The sanitation tent should be set up in the downwind direction, slightly lower than the main campsite, and away from the river. It’s best to dig a pit about half a meter deep, fill it with some stones and leaves (to reduce odor). Prepare some sand and a shovel inside the toilet area to help bury waste afterward and maintain hygiene. After camping ends, make sure to properly cover the waste pit and mark it to inform others participating in outdoor activities.
As for bathing, generally a towel is used for wiping. If there is water available in a local river, you can use it directly; if you're concerned about water quality, boil it first. If you’re on a self-driving trip, bring extra bottled water for drinking and washing.
If you want to take a shower, you’ll need a water container—the best choice would be a water bladder. However, some people may not like using bladders; another good option is to carry a black garbage bag. Choose one that's high-quality and thick. After use, you can take the trash with you. Once you’ve solved the container issue, there are many ways to create a showerhead. If using a water bladder, the drinking tube itself can serve as a showerhead. If using a garbage or plastic bag, poking a few small holes also makes for a decent showerhead.
