Hot air balloons will soar at Qingshan Grassland Up!Hsinchu City Government is hosting the“Slide & Hot Air Balloon Summer Fun at Qingshan Grassland”event on the 20th and 21st, offering not only the chance to experience the longest terrazzo slide in northern Taiwan, but also introducing hot air balloon rides for the first time—giving the public an opportunity to gaze at the stunning views of Xiangshan from above and enjoy a unique summer.

Previously, Qingshan Grassland attracted crowds thanks to the terrazzo slide trend, and the upcoming two-day hot air balloon experience starting the 20th aims to encourage more people to visit the grassland and witness the exceptional natural beauty of Hsinchu. However,the public should note that there are only two designated time slots per day for balloon rides, with limited capacity per session, and numbered tickets can be collected 30 minutes before departure.Those hoping to take a ride are advised to arrive early. In addition, the event site will feature activities such as a “Hot Air Balloon Static Display,” “Grassland Breakfast Party,” and “Street Performer Shows”—step out of the air-conditioning and enjoy Hsinchu’s natural landscape!

To maintain order, traffic control measures will be in place on the day of the event. Drivers are advised to take note to ensure smooth arrival at the venue without affecting the fun.

Hot Air Balloon Ride Times & Locations:
Morning: 05:30~07:30 (Number cards available from 05:00) – Entrance of the grassland (250 passengers)
Afternoon: 16:30~18:30 (Number cards available from 16:00) – Beside the grassland stage (150 passengers)
