Reporters learned from the organizing committee of the Asia Outdoor Show on the 27th that the largest outdoor products expo in Asia, the "7th Asia Outdoor Show 2012," will open at the Nanjing International Expo Center from July 26 to 29. The "2nd Asia Bicycle Show" will be held concurrently, during which luxury bicycles worth a total of 8 million yuan will be displayed in Nanjing. The "Asia Outdoor Show" will occupy four exhibition halls at the Nanjing International Expo Center, with the total scale expanding from 42,000 square meters last year to 48,000 square meters. The number of participating brands is expected to reach 540, an increase of nearly 20% compared to last year.
During the exhibition period, the Asia Outdoor Show Climbing Festival, the Climbing Triathlon (speed climbing, rope climbing, dry tooling), difficulty competitions, and wilderness survival rescue demonstrations will be held. The first China Slackline Competition will also take place, including slackline races (speed and jump events) and slackline PK matches (challenging the longest personal standing time on a slackline). Additionally, Gibbon freestyle slacklining masters Nick Ten Hooper (Flying Dutchman) and Maurice Wiese (Momo) will give live lessons. On July 28, the Asia Outdoor Show will collaborate with the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival to screen outdoor and mountain biking films at the Nanjing International Expo Center.
Meanwhile, the "Asia Bicycle Show" will be held from July 26 to 29, 2012, at the Nanjing International Expo Center. Organizers estimate that the total value of luxury bicycles on display this year will reach between 7 million and 8 million yuan.
The Asia Outdoor Products Exhibition has become the largest international outdoor products exhibition in Asia and has formed a tripartite balance of power with the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City, USA, and the European Outdoor Show.
