On the afternoon of August 9, 2012, the 2012 China RV & Camping Industry Development Forum, themed "Leading a New Fashionable Lifestyle," was held on the second floor of the conference hall at the Beijing RV Expo Center in Changyang CSD, Beijing Fangshan District.
The forum was chaired by Xiu Xuejun, the China representative of the International Federation of Camping and Caravanning (FICC). The theme of this forum was "Leading a New Fashionable Lifestyle." It included invited guest keynote speeches, interactive exchange sessions among corporate representatives, and an award ceremony for the Top Ten Industry Leaders. A lucky draw was also held during the forum.

After Wang Xudong, representative of the Organizing Committee of the 5th Beijing International RV & Camping Exhibition, delivered the opening remarks to all guests, guests such as Li Chunwei, Director of the Business Development Department at the Auto and Motorcycle Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and Deputy Secretary-General of the FIA, Liu Hanqi, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Tourism Vehicle and Ship Association, and Liu Wei Yi, President of Beijing Zhongtianxing Investment Management Co., Ltd., gave keynote speeches.They elaborated on the current state and development trends of the industry, sharing their insights and experiences. During the forum, Xiu Xuejun, the China representative of the International Federation of Camping and Caravanning (FICC), presided over the "2012 China RV Industry Person of the Year" award ceremony. Li Chunwei, Deputy Secretary-General of the FIA, presented honorary plaques to the guests who received the "Top Ten Industry Leaders of China's RV Industry for 2012–2013" awards.

Since 2011, the RV and camping industry has seen significant development. As an emerging tourism format encouraged under the 12th Five-Year Plan, it has garnered widespread attention from the government, industry associations, enterprises, clubs, and the media. The community of RV enthusiasts and owners has also gradually grown. However, issues such as RV safety, travel considerations, campground precautions, traffic regulations, and RV licensing continue to hinder the steady and rapid growth of the industry. In addition, poor communication among RV companies, camping businesses, and related enterprises has directly led to difficulties in effectively and rationally utilizing resources. Furthermore, the lack of industry standards has resulted in unhealthy market competition. These issues urgently require collaborative efforts from all stakeholders to resolve.
