Japan hit by three storms     Narita Airport forced to close, all flights canceled

Japan has been struck by three tropical storms, affecting both air and ground transportation. Tokyo's Narita Airport has been forced to close, with all flights canceled and all personnel evacuated. Travelers planning to visit should pay special attention.

Tropical Storm Kompasu made landfall in Hokkaido yesterday (21st), while Severe Tropical Storm Mindulle landed at Tateyama City in Chiba Prefecture at noon, bringing heavy rainfall. Typhoon Lionrock is approaching Japan. Severe Tropical Storm Mindulle brought gusts of up to 180 km/h and torrential rain exceeding 100 mm per hour. The control tower at Narita Airport was severely shaken by the storm, leading to the evacuation of management personnel and the forced closure of the airport, with all flights canceled.

It is reported that at least 500 flights in Japan have been canceled, and more than 140 train services have been suspended. Taiwanese traveler Ms. Li said that she was scheduled to fly to Tokyo Narita Airport on Japan Airlines today (22nd), but due to weather conditions, the flight made an emergency landing at Nagoya Airport. Currently, the flight has been delayed by 10 hours and has not yet resumed normal operations.
