Although this was the seventh edition of the Green Mountains Action, outdoor enthusiasts passionate about environmental protection still showed tremendous enthusiasm for this event. This "Restore the Beauty of Fragrant Hills" campaign mobilized five teams, with over a hundred participants in total, demonstrating that outdoor enthusiasts consider environmental protection in nature an urgent and essential cause. The five participating teams selected five different routes around the Fragrant Hills area to conduct comprehensive garbage cleanup and restore the beauty of the hills. A Green Field editor had the privilege of joining the Eagle Trail Outdoor team and personally experiencing the special significance that the Green Mountains Action brings to us, to everyone, and to all outdoor enthusiasts.

The "Green Mountains Action" — a large-scale outdoor environmental protection event organized by Orion Outdoor Theme Shopping Mall in collaboration with Green Field Outdoor Network, is a major environmental initiative covering Beijing and its surrounding areas. In October, Fragrant Hills is in the prime season for enjoying the red leaves. Coupled with the Fragrant Hills Red Leaf Festival, the area was practically "overrun with people," and naturally, litter could be seen everywhere.27On the morning of the event, members of the Mountain Eagle Team9o'clock30gathered at the entrance of the Fragrant Hills Post Office before setting off. Their route was as follows: Fragrant Hills---Heroes' Slope---Eagle Catching Hollow---Old Wangjing---Cherry Valley---Botanical Garden, covering a total distance of10kilometers.
