The ship will feature a "skywalk" – Princess Cruises announces the launch of Majestic Princess

The Majestic Princess is the first cruise ship custom-built by Princess Cruises specifically for the Asian market. The ship will feature 20 dining venues and bars offering a wide range of international cuisines. It will also introduce the world’s first “skywalk at sea” — a fully transparent glass walkway with ocean views and a seaside bar, where guests can enjoy creative cocktails and breathtaking seascapes. In addition, the ship will be surrounded by Princess Cruises’ largest luxury boutique area globally, spanning approximately 1,100 square meters.

For accommodations, over 80% of cabins will come with private balconies. Entertainment options include Las Vegas-style shows, a starlit open-air cinema featuring the largest cruise ship screen in the Chinese market, and a synchronized light, water, and sound show — the first of its kind in the Princess Cruises fleet.

The Majestic Princess is scheduled to embark on its maiden voyage from its home port in Shanghai in July 2017, carrying 3,560 passengers to various exciting destinations in Japan and South Korea. Prior to its Asian debut, the ship will depart from Italy on April 4, 2017, to begin a cruise tour around Europe. On May 14, 2017, the Majestic Princess will set sail again from Barcelona, passing through Dubai, Singapore, and other Asian regions before finally arriving at its home port in Shanghai.
